Integrantes del Comité de Defensa del Mar a la Fiscalía
Hoy miércoles 08 de Octubre de 2008, desde las 14:00 horas fueron citados al Tribunal de San José de la Mariquina Boris Hualme, Werken Mapuche Lafquenche y Vocero del Comité de Defensa del Mar y Tito Lienlaf del Comite de Defensa del Mar.
La causa es por supuestamente ser los autores de un apedreamiento a buses de la empresa celco (Arauco) ocurrido hace dos años, situación por la que hoy fueron formalizados.
El Comité de Defensa del Mar considera "extaño" que la formalización la realizó Paola Varela, la misma fiscal que antes fue cuestionada por el Comité ante el respectivo Fiscal Regional (Región de los Ríos) ya que ante el ataque con piedras que recibió la sede de este Comité en Missisipi, actos que fueron fotografiados y filmados y cuyos archivos fueron entregados a dicha fiscal, hasta el día de hoy no hay inculpados ni formalizados, considerando incluso que los atacantes mantuvieron por 7 horas a dos mujeres retenidas.
Las personas que protagonizaron este ataque no comparten los lineamientos del Comité respecto a la defensa del mar de la contaminación de la empresa de celulosa de Celco (Arauco) sino que estarían apoyando la construcción del ducto que de realizarse, arrojará directamente al mar los desechos líquidos de la industria de celulosa, generando una fuente de contaminación que sin duda es incompatible con el uso tradicional de las pescadores y mariscadores de este sector.
Respecto al proceso judicial, Boris Hualme y Tito Lienlaf quedaron con arraigo nacional por 120 días, plazo que tendrá la fiscalía para investigar.
Sobre esta desición, las Organizaciones de todas las regiones del país que componen el Comité de Defensa del Mar, expresaron su total y amplio apoyo a Boris y Tito y además solicitaron nuevamente al Fiscal Regional que revise el accionar de la fiscal Paola Varela.
